About Us
Mercian is a group of companies specialising in property development and investment, operating across the UK.
Mercian established itself in the early 1970’s. In the 1980’s Mercian branched out into the wider commercial and residential market, which then evolved into delivering its first out-of-town retail scheme in 1990, where the company remained for 25 years. The company grew its strength and reputation in the retail development sector, before the executive decision in 2017 was made to concentrate on the care and senior living sector.
The company has been developing a strong pipeline of opportunities in this sector over recent years with several schemes now underway, we are working closely with a number of Site Owners and Care Operators to deliver bespoke quality schemes. Mercian enjoys excellent relationships with various Health Funds and Occupiers, leading to our experience and expertise being consistently sought.
Mercian is headed by Chris Towers who is the Managing Director for the entire group. The other key members of the team focusing on acquisitions are Luke Brittain ‘Land Director’ and Ed Towers ‘Associate Director’.
The Company also has a joint venture with Mercroft Estates Ltd
